Tokenized stocks, explained

Everything about how Robinhood Chain instruments work — plus the disclaimers that come with them.

Robinhood documentation

What you are actually buying

Every instrument on Dexstock is a tokenized stock issued by Robinhood Europe, UAB and settled on Robinhood Chain. When you buy, you receive a transferable token that tracks the price of one underlying share, held 1:1 by the issuer's custodian.

You do not become a shareholder of record. The token is a claim on economic exposure to the share, not the share itself, and it carries no voting rights at shareholder meetings.

Issuance, backing and redemption

The issuer acquires the underlying share on a regulated venue before minting the matching token. Mint and burn events are visible on-chain, and the reserve of underlying shares is attested periodically by an independent auditor.

Redemption of tokens against underlying shares is available to eligible institutional participants only. Retail holders exit by selling the token on-chain.

Trading on Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain (Arbitrum Orbit L2) settles trades in seconds with gas paid in the network's fee token. Orders you place from the trade panel are signed by your wallet; Dexstock never takes custody of your assets or your keys.

Always confirm the official contract address shown on each stock page before signing a transaction. Tokens deployed at any other address are not issued by the issuer.

Dividends, splits and corporate actions

Cash dividends are passed through by the issuer as a distribution to token holders of record, net of applicable withholding tax. Stock splits and consolidations are reflected by a corresponding adjustment to token balances.

Mergers, delistings and tender offers may force an early cash settlement of the token at the issuer's determined value.

Costs

Dexstock charges a 0.09% commission per executed order. Network gas fees are paid separately by your wallet. Spreads shown in the order ticket are set by on-chain liquidity and may widen outside the underlying market's trading hours.

Jurisdiction and eligibility

Tokenized stocks are not offered to residents of the United States, Canada, Japan or any jurisdiction where their distribution would be unlawful. Availability may change without notice, and access can be restricted based on your region.

Nothing on Dexstock is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell securities where such an offer would be prohibited. You are responsible for your own tax reporting.

Risk disclosure

Capital at risk. The value of tokenized stocks can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Additional risks specific to tokenization include smart-contract failure, network downtime, thin on-chain liquidity, price divergence from the underlying share, issuer and custodian default, and the absence of investor-compensation schemes that apply to direct share ownership.
